Courage to Deliver: The Women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion
For this project, I was responsible for not only curating the historical imagery and stories but also incorporating visually compelling graphic designs that enhance the women of the 6888. I played on the idea of using stamps, letters, and other postal imagery to create panels and engaging visuals throughout the museum. This idea translated into an organized hierarchy of information and panels, which allowed for a seamless and non-repetitive flow. Through careful selection of colors, fonts, and imagery, I created an immersive and impactful display that not only educates but also emotionally resonates with the audience. My goal was to use graphic design elements to effectively communicate the bravery and resilience of the women of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, ensuring that their contributions are honored and remembered in a visually engaging manner. This project was pure joy, and I enjoyed every aspect of this process of creating and telling the story of the African American women
of the 6888.
